The University of Nairobi held the 7th open day event at the main campus. The main aim of the three day event is to give an opportunity to potential students, parents, guardians and stakeholders to learn more about the different programmes offered by the university.

While presiding over the official opening, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mbithi noted that the university shall endeavor to continue improving the programmes offered. He encouraged the visitors present to visit all the stands so as to know what the university is all about. The VC also gave assurance to all the potential students and stakeholders that the university will continue to refine the programmes so as to offer the best education in the region

The UON open day is an annual event usually organized by the university in collaboration with other partners to give the public an opportunity to the public and most especially potential students an opportunity to inspect closely the programmes offered by the university and for the visitors to ask any questions they may have about the university.

The 3 Day event will run from Thursday 25th May to Saturday 27th May.
