The 5,000 students admitted to the University of Nairobi were on May 23rd, 2013, addressed by top University officials including the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George Magoha, as part of the week-long orientation programme organized by the Academic Division. The orientation week is meant to assist the students settle down and adjust to the new life with ease.

 

While officially welcoming the new students, Prof. Magoha congratulated them for their good performance in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examinations, the basis on which they were admitted to the University.
