NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK: "WE NEED TO URGENTLY ADOPT AN INNOVATION CULTURE"

"We need to urgently adopt an Innovation Culture", was the message that was echoed during the official opening ceremony of the Nairobi Innovation Week 2023.

This year’s NIW theme was ‘Sustainable and Commercialization for sustainable development. This was the theme of the three days event that took place at the University of Nairobi, Main Campus from May 17th – 19th, 2023.

UoN AMONG TOP 2000 UNIVERSITIES WORLDWIDE

The University of Nairobi (UoN) has once again firmly established its position as a leading institution in the global academic landscape by emerging among the world’s top 2000 Universities in the latest rankings released on 16th May 2023, by the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR). UoN's secured a commendable ranking of 1,425th.

From the rankings, UoN's employability rank remains competitive, thus speaking to the university's success in preparing students for the professional world.

INDIAN GOVERNEMENT (ICCR) AFRICAN SCHOLARSHIPS 2023/2024 FOR UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

The Government of India through the ICCR – Indian Council for Cultural Relations – is offering up to 240 scholarships for Kenyan students to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate and higher courses programmes at Institutions/Universities in India.

NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2023 : CALL FOR INNOVATORS AND EXHIBITORS

The 7th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week will take place on 17th - 19th May, 2023 at University of Nairobi's Main Campus Great Court and the Hyssop Parking. 

Applications from the students, faculties, University of Nairobi alumni, local and international individuals and firms for showcasing and exhibiting their innovations during this great event are invited. 

MONICA MALITH ELECTED 5TH UNSA CHAIRPERSON

Monica Malith, a third-year international student at the Faculty of Law, will lead the University of Nairobi Students’ Association.

The UNSA elections were held on on Friday, March 22, 2023, where students successfully cast their votes online through an electronic ballot for the Faculty and Campus Students Association teams. On Saturday, March 25, 2023, 39 electors from all 13 electoral colleges cast their votes for the Students' Council.
