CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2022

The University of Nairobi held its 68th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 16th December. The colourful event was held at the historic Taifa Hall. The event was a mix of virtual and an onsite ceremony.

A total of 6,595 Graduands were conferred with degrees and diplomas. 439 Diplomas, 4,514 Bachelors degrees, 46 Postgraduate Diplomas, 1,510 Masters degrees and 72 Doctor of Philosophy degrees were awarded.

The Academic Division wishes to congratulate all the Graduates of the 68th Graduation Ceremony.

UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI STAFF PERFORMANCE AWARDS 2022

The university held its annual Staff Performance and Recognition Award Ceremony on Monday, 5th December 2022.   

The Department of Medical microbiology and immunology emerged the best department overall in the performance contract for Financial Year 2021/2022 while the Faculty of Business and Management Science emerged the best Faculty; The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology was the best Directorate in Central Units.

UoN COMPASSION DAY - 7TH DECEMBER

The University has been supporting needy students through variuos avenues. Since the beginning of the FY 2022-2023, over 700 students have requested for support. The University supported 181 needy students with bursaries and scholarships from our partners. Additionaly, over 500 students have been placed on the University work study program. However, with more and more students requesting for support, these interventions are not adequate and there is the fear of some students opting to defer their studies.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2021/2022) and members of the public, that the 68th Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, December 16, 2022 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at Taifa Hall. COMMEMORATION OF WORLD AIDS DAY 2022

The University of Nairobi and Government of Kenya in partnership with UNESCO and UN Women  and other partners invite you to the commemoration of World AIDS Day 2022  on Thursday, December 1, 2022. This year's theme is Equalize!

Activities for the day include : Launch of Gender Desk at the University Health Services (UHS), A procession from UHS to Taifa Hall and a FREE Medical camp at the Great Court.  The free tests that will be conducted by the University Health Services and partners will include:-

TECNO JOB FAIR

The office of Career Services, UON in partnership with TECNO has organized a job fair on Tuesday, 29th November 2022 from 1:30pm at Taifa Hall. The job fair will feature top companies such as Tecno, Itel and Infinix. There are graduate trainee and internship opportunities for both graduates and continuing students .
