Notice to students on Password Reset Tool in the SMIS - Director of ICT

The University of Nairobi Director of ICT Mr. Paul Kariuki wishes to notify all students that the Students Management Information System, SMIS Students’ portal now supports password reset for students who might have forgotten their passwords. In his communiqué through email on 16th June 2020 he states that if a student cannot remember their password, all they need to do is click on "Forgot your password?" link and then follow the instructions given.

Students are advised not to use the same password on every account (Facebook, Twitter, SMIS) because if someone figures out your password, he can gain access to every account you have. Avoid using simple words and phrases but rather, use random combinations of numbers, letters and symbols.
