The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs Eng. Prof. Ayub N. Gitau on 18th March received a delegation from Education Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA) led by the Executive Director Lucy Heady. The delegation introduced ESSA to the University of Nairobi highlighting their core activities and areas that the University can plug in and forge a strategic partnership or collaboration.

The DVC AA emphasized the importance of these kind of collaborations for the University, highlighting Research, Publication, student and staff mobility as critical areas for the institution. The other members in the delegation from ESSA were Director Research Pauline Essah and Chief Impact Officer Layla Abdulahi. Present from the University were the Dean Faculty of Education Prof. Jeremiah Kalai, Chairman Department of Educational Communication and Pedagogical Studies Prof. Ngaruiya, Director Research, CEPA Prof. Justus Inyega and Prof Helen Inyega all from the Faculty of Education. Others were Dr. Michael Wangai, Mr. Leonard Kirui, Mr. Salvador Ogacho and Ms. Ann Guandaru.
