Professor Attiya Waris launched a new book titled Financing Africa on 19th June 2020. In the book, Prof. Waris has used examples from all 54 countries of Africa making fiscal matters real and understandable for people, no matter their field. It demonstrates the importance of fiscal law and policy for development and the impact it has on individuals, communities, nations, regional groupings, and the continent.
Prof. Waris is the Deputy Principal of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at the University of Nairobi. She is a Professor of Fiscal Law and Policy and holds a Ph.D. in Law and is a specialist in Fiscal Law, Policy and Development.
