The Student Recognition Ceremony, 2026 was held in Chandaria Auditorium on 8th May, 2026 as from 9.00am. The Chief Guest was the Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Jesang Hutchinson. The event was also attended by Prof. Ayub Gitau Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (AA), Prof. John D. Mande Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (HRA), Prof. Jackson Maalu Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (FPD) and Prof. Leonidah Kerubo Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (RIE), Donor, members of the University Executive Board, members of the University Senate, parents and students.

Any staff and members of the Public interested in donating a Prize should follow the following procedure:
- Write a letter to the Academic Registrar to offer the Award
- Donors should note that Senate approved that the minimum amount for an Award shall be Ksh. 10,000/ and where applicable,a certificate,medal or trophy
- The name of the Award should be stated clearly and the effective date.
