UON STAFF

The Administration Registrar Mr. Peter Muturi wishes to notify all staff that the closure of the Staff Performance Appraisal for the period 2019-2020 will be on 30th June 2020. In his communiqué to all teaching and non-teaching staff, he reminded them that it is mandatory for all staff on active duty to complete their performance appraisal. He however stated that staff on leave of absence, sabbatical leave, suspension, or medical leave are exempted from this exercise.

The Director of ICT Mr. Paul Kariuki wishes to notify all staff of University of Nairobi that the process of reviewing the Disability Policy is currently ongoing. One of the tasks the committee dealing with this responsibility is to collect and validate data on all staff with different forms of disabilities. This data will  be used for planning and enhancing the support given to staff in this category. 

Three members of staff from the University of Nairobi were among 68 inaugural recipients of Presidential Order of Service, Uzalendo Awards, where individuals were recognized for their distinguished and outstanding service to the nation. The three are  Prof. Omu Anzala, Dr. Marybeth Maritim and Dr. Loice Achieng Ombajo who were honoured for helping steer the country through the Corona Virus pandemic. President Uhuru Kenyatta conferred them the Uzalendo Awards during Madaraka Day celebrations at Statehouse, Nairobi.
