The Government of Chile through the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID), has announced the 2025 Call for the application process for scholarships for professionals interested in pursuing Master’s studies at Chilean universities, under the “Nelson Mandela South-South Cooperation Program“.
The Embassy has the honour to further inform, that this scholarship program is aimed at Kenyan: professionals with a university degree and work in Government/Public Service, in Academia i.e., teachers or researchers of universities and professionals who work in the various areas of Civil Society, whose implementation is a contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between Chile and Kenya.
The lectures will be in the Spanish language, and therefore a good command of both oral, and written Spanish is required.
The Nelson Mandela South-South Cooperation Program from Chile provides international postgraduate students with: one-way airfare, full tuition coverage, a monthly maintenance stipend, life and health insurance, study materials allowance and a thesis support grant for students who meet performance criteria. This scholarship aims to comprehensively support recipients during their studies in Chile.
The studies for which the scholarships will be awarded have been scheduled to commence between 1st March and 30th September 2024, and are programmed from 03rd March 2025 to 28th February 2027, according to the respective academic programs and calendars of the Chilean higher education institutions and/or the improvement or research plan established by the Chilean institution in which the applicant has been accepted.
The initial application must be submitted to an eligible university and a postgraduate program listed in Annex_1. Once the university issues a letter of acceptance, the applicant may proceed with the official scholarship application.
Those who comply with all the requirements as listed in the link: https://www.agci.cl/becas/becas-para-extranjeros/ofertas-vigentes and are selected can obtain a master's degree in any of the options listed in Annex_1 attached.
Lastly, the applicants must digitally submit their documentation to the Embassy of Chile in Kenya’s email: echile.kenya@minrel.gob.cl, on or before the deadline of Friday 22nd November 2024, and are requested to kindly note that only those who completely meet all the requirements will be selected and contacted.
