The University of Nairobi, successfully conducted the University of Nairobi Students’ Association (UNSA) 2026/2027 Leadership Induction Workshop on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the CBK Institute of Monetary Studies along Thika Road.
The one-day induction, held under the theme “Transformational, Ethical and Responsible Student Leadership,” brought together newly elected student leaders, University Management, and key administrative stakeholders for a comprehensive orientation aimed at equipping the leaders with the knowledge, skills, and values required for effective leadership.
The workshop featured a series of targeted sessions designed to provide practical insights into key areas of university operations. These included University governance and legal frameworks, discipline and student conduct, balancing academics with leadership responsibilities, and navigating the University’s digital infrastructure.
Further sessions addressed financial management and resource mobilization, strategic communication and media engagement, as well as student welfare, health, and wellbeing, ensuring that leaders are well-equipped to address the diverse needs of the student community.
The workshop marks a significant step in strengthening student leadership at the University of Nairobi by promoting a culture of responsibility, engagement, and transformative leadership.
As the new UNSA leadership begins its term, the University remains committed to supporting them in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and conducive academic environment for all students.
