SUSPENSION OF ALL SPORTING ACTIVITIES EFFECTIVE 13TH MARCH, 2020 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Following the Directive from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Sports and Heritage, the Vice-Chancellor   and the affiliated Sports Federations, all sporting activities have been suspended effective 13th March, 2020 until further notice.

 

Please take note that all bookings for use of Sports field have been suspended.

The University of Nairobi wishes to notify all students to register their personal details in the Students Management Information System, SMIS. Further, all students with tuition fees balances are directed to promptly make payments to clear the balances in order to avoid suspension of services.

Public forum on Corona Virus

KAVI Institute of Clinical Research invites all students and staff to a public forum on COVID-19. The discussion will cover, health, social and economic impact of the ongoing corona virus outbreak.
It will take place at the Chandaria Auditorium, 6th floor, UoN Towers at the Main Campus, University of Nairobi on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Mr H.O.D. Webuye defends Performance Contract for the Academic Division

The Academic Registrar, Mr H.O.D. Webuye and Section Heads defended Performance Contract for the Academic Division on March 02, 2020. This was the mid-term performance review that was also done to all other departments, schools and colleges. The lead auditor was Dr. Grace Kiringa who is also the Head of Performance Contract Secretariat. Also present during the defense were Mr. Mbuva, Dr. Ogoro, Mrs. Manya, Ms Chebet, Mr. Idicoh, Mr. Kiambi, Mr. Ouma, Ms Kyalo, Ms. Karanja among others.

PLACEMENT OF THE 2019 KCSE COHORT TO UNIVERSITIES & COLLEGES

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has sent invitation to all the 2019 KCSE candidates who scored a mean grade of C+ and above to apply for placement to universities.

Consequently, the online placement system was opened on, Monday, February 17, 2020 for application and revision of choices and will close on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 5.00 pm.

Orientation for the First Years 2020 in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences

The orientation for the First Years year 2020 (KCSE 2018) held their orientation program in the days 20th of January 2020 through to 25th of January 2020. The programs climax was a public address by the directors, principals, deputy vice chancellors and the Vice Chancellor on 24th January 2020 in the Taifa Hall. The fresh men and women were urged to make their parents proud by excelling in their studies at the UoN. They were warned against misuse of their freedom and to stay away from bad company.
