University of Nairobi is Ranked the Most Popular University in Kenya and East Africa

University of Nairobi has been ranked as the most popular university in Kenya. This is according to uniRank in their latest publication on the 2023 African University Ranking of the top 200 recognized higher-education institutions in Africa meeting the following uniRank selection criteria:

• being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate higher education-related organization in each country
• offering at least three-year bachelor's degrees or postgraduate master's or doctoral degrees
• delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, non-distance education format

South Africa took position 1 to 4 with University of Cape Town taking the lead followed by University of Witwatersrand then University of Pretoria and University of Stellenbosch respectively. Position 5 was taken up by Egypt with The American University of Cairo. University of Nairobi was at position number 6 taking the lead in Kenya and East Africa.
