The 7th edition of the Innovation week will be held 17th to 19th May, 2023 at University of Nairobi, Main Campus. This years theme will be 'Innovation and Commercialization for sustainable development'.
The University of Nairobi (UoN) hosted a delegation from Washington State University (WSU) on Monday, February 6th, 2023. The team led by Prof. Kirk Schulz, the 11th President of WSU are in the country for five days to see the collaborative projects they are implementing in Kenya. In the near future, the two universities will provide joint degree programs and work together to apply for funding to do additional research.
The University of Nairobi conducted a two day inhouse training for all chairmen of departments on 5th and 6th January, 2023 at the KCB Leadership Centre in Karen.
The University has been supporting needy students through variuos avenues. Since the beginning of the FY 2022-2023, over 700 students have requested for support. The University supported 181 needy students with bursaries and scholarships from our partners. Additionaly, over 500 students have been placed on the University work study program. However, with more and more students requesting for support, these interventions are not adequate and there is the fear of some students opting to defer their studies.

The annual sports competition is an important event for identifying and showcasing sports talents at the University of Nairobi. This years' sports day will involve faculties and campuses competing in soccer, basketball.rugby volleyball, handball, swimming, Athletics , Badminton, Scrabble, Darts,creative games and tug of war.
This is therefore to inform the teams to prepare and be ready to claim their place in the championship.
The competitions will take place at the Chancellor's court/ sports ground in Main campus at 8.00am.

ULV provides a limited number of partial Scholarships, funding 70% of tuition fees where students are awarded based on merit and how early they apply.
