Registration of first year students has kicked off today and is currently ongoing. Kindly report to your faculty for registration. Biometric registration is also ongoing.
In preparation for the virtual 65th University of Nairobi Graduation Ceremony scheduled for September 24th, 2021, PhD graduands are requested to avail themselves for their photos to be taken from September 14 - 16, 2021 between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm in Taifa Hall.
PHD graduation regalia will be hired from the venue after payment of Kshs. 4000 via MPESA pay bill number 913901, account number is the student registration number.
There will be a public defense for Prof. Frederick Namenya Were’s Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2.00 pm.
The University of Nairobi was ranked position one in east africa during the recent webometric ranking. The criteria used during the recent ranking was impact, openness and Excellence. UoN was ranked 1218 in Impact, 756 in Openness and 1632 in Excellence.
The University of Nairobi also took position one in Kenya, 13 in Africa followed closely by Ugandas Makerere University at 14 and worldwide UoN took position 1054 out of 11,987 universities ranked.
