Registration of the First Year students for the 2022/2023 Academic year began on Monday 19th September 2022. The University has lined up a series of activities for the Orientation week to introduce the freshmen to University life.
The following is the Schedule of activities:
Monday 19th to Sunday 25th September 2022: Biometric Registration and Orientation Week
Tuesday 20th September 2022: Students commence Course Registration for two weeks
It is my great pleasure to welcome you once more to the University of Nairobi. By now you must have discovered that you have joined a diverse, lively, warm and excellent University community. This marks the beginning of your new life with new perspectives and a new way of thinking. As you set yourself to begin the new academic year 2021/2022, please download the document attached below for your information.
The 67th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at Taifa Hall. The event will be VIRTUAL, streamed live on UoN’s Website - www.uonbi.ac.ke and Facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/uonbi.ac.ke.
The Dean of Students Office has received cases of students who are unable to register due to financial challenges. The Office is appealing to staff, students, alumni and well-wishers to support the needy students achieve their dreams through

University of Nairobi is offering 137 masters scholarships for the 2022/2023 academic year. The applications are open only to applicants for the September 2022 intake.
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria among other specific criteria by their respective units.
The University of Nairobi has maintained first position in the July edition of the Webometrics Ranking. The latest edition is built with the indicators obtained during the month of July in order to maintain the freshness of the data of the most current and updated Ranking of Universities.
The Government of the People’s Republic of China is offering Thirty (30) scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023 for Kenyan undergraduate students studying at the University of Nairobi.
