The Central Examinations Centre (CEC) members of staff held their end-of-year party on December 08, 2019 at Maxland Restaurant along Waiyaki Way. The party was also in honor of the retired long serving members of staff in the Examinations Section Dr Adelaide Mbithi, Mrs Jennifer Odhiambo and Mrs Rosalind Muratha. In her speech, Dr Mbithi who served the university for 30 years thanked the staff for cooperation and support she enjoyed at the CEC and requested that the same be extended to the incoming head of the section.
The Vice Chancellor (Ag) Prof Isaac Mbeche held consultative meeting on Website Policy and Strategies on Friday December 05, 2019 at CCU. The meeting was attended by the DVC in charge of Academic Affairs Prof Julius Ogeng'o, Director of ICT Centre Mr Paul Kariuki, Director of Public Communication Mr John Orindi, ICT staff and all university web admins/support officers from all the colleges.
The Academic Registrar signed his performance contracts with the Ag. Vice-Chancellor for the financial year 2019/2020 on Monday 4th November 2019.
Prof. Isaac Mbeche, Ag. Vice-Chancellor, said that the performance contracts were in line with the 16th cycle performance contracting guidelines for FY 2019/2020, which informs the university’s corporate performance contract which was negotiated and vetted with the government on September 11, 2019.
80 students from Moi Kipsitet Girls Secondary School accompanied by their two teachers were taken through a guidance and counseling session on 16/08/2019 by the undergraduate Admissions team led by Salome Abuuru. The girls were given an orientation on the various colleges that make the University of Nairobi and the details on the courses offered.
The College of Health Sciences (CHS) held a Capacity Building training for Corruption Prevention Committees and Integrity Assurance Officers on Monday, 8th April, 2019.
The workshop which was organized by the University of Nairobi in liason with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) was held in the School of Medicine Boardroom.
The event was graced by Prof. Stephen Kiama, the acting DVC Human Resource and Administration.
