In accordance with the provisions of Article 16 (1) and (2) of the UNSA Constitution, 2017 (Amended), 2021, the Independent Electoral Commission hereby announces that the Faculties and Campuses Students Association Elections will be held online, on Friday, March 27th, 2026.
Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research initiated the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, or Sylff, in 1987 to support students pursuing graduate studies in the humanities and social sciences. Sylff is offering 1 PhD and 2 masters scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year in the following programmes: Communication Studies, Development Studies, Economics, International Studies and Sociology.
The University of Nairobi on Thursday, 11th December, 2025 held the 74th Graduation Ceremony that saw 4,504 degrees and Diplomas conferred. 48 PhDs, 905 Masters, 3416 Bachelors, 16 post-graduate diplomas, 14 fellowships and 98 diplomas.
The chief guest at the graduation ceremony was CS, Education Hon. Migos Ogambo who urged universities to prepare for the first CBE cohort in 2029 through curricula and infrastructure

The sealing of the 73rd graduation ceremony certificates by the University of Nairobi Council took place on Wednesday 10th December, 2025. The exercise was led by the Chairman of Council, Prof Chacha Nyaigoti and Vice Chancellor Prof Margaret Hutchinson.
