INDIAN GOVERNEMENT (ICCR) AFRICAN SCHOLARSHIPS 2023/2024 FOR UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

The Government of India through the ICCR – Indian Council for Cultural Relations – is offering up to 240 scholarships for Kenyan students to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate and higher courses programmes at Institutions/Universities in India.

NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2023 : CALL FOR INNOVATORS AND EXHIBITORS

The 7th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week will take place on 17th - 19th May, 2023 at University of Nairobi's Main Campus Great Court and the Hyssop Parking. 

Applications from the students, faculties, University of Nairobi alumni, local and international individuals and firms for showcasing and exhibiting their innovations during this great event are invited. 

MONICA MALITH ELECTED 5TH UNSA CHAIRPERSON

Monica Malith, a third-year international student at the Faculty of Law, will lead the University of Nairobi Students’ Association.

The UNSA elections were held on on Friday, March 22, 2023, where students successfully cast their votes online through an electronic ballot for the Faculty and Campus Students Association teams. On Saturday, March 25, 2023, 39 electors from all 13 electoral colleges cast their votes for the Students' Council.

ITALIAN PRESIDENT SERGIO MATTARELLA TO GIVE PUBLIC LECTURE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

The University of Nairobi will host former Judge and incumbent president of  the Republic of Italy His Excellency Sergio Mattarella for a public lecture on Climate change. In what promises to be an illuminating discourse on a key issue in the global arena, president Sergio Mattarella shall deliver his address to over 500 students and delegates from all over the country at the iconic Taifa Hall at the University of Nairobi, main campus on Thursday, March 16th 2023 as from 9 am.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR 2023 UON AA SCHOLARSHIPS

UoN Alumni Association Scholarship Fund is a program that provides University Scholarships and Mentorship to academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students undertaking their undergraduate courses at the University of Nairobi.  

The Fund has supported over 3000 needy and bright students to meet their educational needs since the University of Nairobi Alumni Association was launched in 2005. The fund does not cater for the full cost of University requirements in an academic year hence awardees are advised to explore other ways for more funding.

UoN PARTNERSHIP WITH WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY (WSU) TO OFFER JOINT DEGREE PROGRAMMES

The University of Nairobi (UoN) hosted a delegation from Washington State University (WSU) on Monday, February 6th, 2023. The team led by Prof. Kirk Schulz, the 11th President of WSU are in the country for five days to see the collaborative projects they are implementing in Kenya. In the near future, the two universities will provide joint degree programs and work together to apply for funding to do additional research.
