All Graduates of the 70th Congregation for the conferment of Degrees and award of Diplomas held on December 15, 2023 are requested to collect their certificates from the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus starting from Wednesday January 17, 2024 to Friday February 9, 2024 in the following order:

Prof. Leonidah Kerubo has been appointed as acting DVC AA as Prof. Julius Ogeng'o proceeds on annual leave. The appointment was announced by the Vice Chancellor during the 250th Senate Meeting that was held on Friday, 12th January, 2024. Prof. Kerubo is the Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology and in her absence Prof. John Onyari will be acting as Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology.
President, Dr. William Ruto, has appointed Professor Patrick Verkooijen as Chancellor of the University of Nairobi. He will formally take up the role on 1st February 2024.
Professor Patrick Verkooijen is CEO of the Global Center on Adaptation, the foremost international organization dedicated to the challenge of adapting our world to the global climate emergency.
This is to remind all students that resumption of studies after Christmas break is Monday January 15, 2024 for all Faculties except Faculty of Health Sciences who resumed on Monday January 8, 2024.
The University of Nairobi on Friday, December 15, 2023 graduated over 5,700 graduands, amongst them 121 Engineering students from Kenya Polytechnic University College and 11 from Koitalel University College.

Following a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund held on Thursday 2nd November, 2023, the applicants whose names are in the attachment below were awarded the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund Scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Congratulations to all the awardees.
1) Confirm that all marks entered in the SMIS are correct and all required units are complete.
2) All fees should be cleared at least one month before graduation.
3) Convocation fee should be paid before filling an Application for Graduation:
(i) Convocation fee Ksh. 1,000.00
(This payment is compulsory whether one attends the graduation ceremony or not)
(ii) Congregation fee Ksh. 2,500.00
(Paid by those who will attend the graduation physically)
(iii) Hire of graduation gown
PhD Ksh. 4,000.00
Masters Ksh. 4,000.00
