UoN Annual Tree Planting & Growing Day

The University of Nairobi staff and students planted over 3000 seedlings on Friday 11th April 2025, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Upper Kabete campus. The event was in support of the government’s strategy of planting 15 billion trees by 2032 to increase Kenya's forest cover from less than 10% to 30%. The University has integrated tree planting and growing in its operational strategy, where each department and individual staff sets their annual tree planting targets. Training Scholarships: Call for PhD/MSc/MBA Applications

The Government of Kenya (GoK) has acquired an International Development ssociation (IDA) credit to finance the Food Systems Resilience Project (FSRP). The GoK intends to utilize part of the credit proceeds to finance the cost of PhD/MSc/MBA Training Scholarships relevant to the project.

The purpose of the FSRP scholarship programme is to build the capacity to contribute to increased preparedness against foor insecurity and improved resilience of food systems in the thirteen (13) targeted countries of the FSRP.
