Master of Arts in Women, Children & Nature Rights in Environmental Governance (WCNREG) Scholarship 2025

The University of Nairobi launched a Master of Arts in Women, Children and Nature Rights in Environmental Governance (WCNREG) in August 2023. This MA in WCNREG is multidisciplinary and seeks to promote sustainable development in the Eastern and Southern African region by addressing the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.

Awarding of Excellence

The University of Nairobi held its annual Staff Recognition Awards ceremony on Monday 10th February at the Chandaria Auditorium. It was a celebration of the dedication and achievements of university staff across various faculties and departments.

The awards ceremony brought together faculty members, university leadership, and distinguished guests to honor the exceptional contributions of staff who go above and beyond in their roles.

Study in Iraq

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq launched the ((Study in Iraq)) initiative for the academic year 2024-2025, which includes scholarships (free - semi-free - private) to study in Iraqi universities, housing, and health insurance for foreign students accepted at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in all specializations.

UoN Holds 72nd Graduation Ceremony

The University of Nairobi on Friday, December 13, 2024 celebrated its 72nd graduation ceremony. The 72nd Graduation Ceremony that was themed, Transforming Society with Adaptive & Innovative Graduates.' saw 4,583 graduands conferred and awarded various degrees. 

Notable personalities who graduated during the 72nd graduation ceremony include: Dr. Farida Karoney, Former Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning.

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2023/2024) and members of the public, that the 72nd Graduation Ceremony will be held PHYSICALLY on Friday, December 13, 2024 commencing at 7.30 a.m.
