UNIVERSITY OF ANNUAL SPORTS DAY -14TH OCTOBER 2022

The annual sports competition is an important event for identifying and showcasing sports talents at the University of Nairobi. This years' sports day will involve faculties and campuses competing in soccer, basketball.rugby volleyball, handball, swimming, Athletics , Badminton, Scrabble, Darts,creative games and tug of war.

This is therefore to inform the teams to prepare and be ready to claim their place in the championship.

The competitions will take place at the Chancellor's court/ sports ground  in Main campus at 8.00am.

 

WORLD HEALTH DAY 2022 COMMEMORATION

In furtherance of the University of Nairobi core values, the University Health Services has organized for the commemoration of the 2022 World Mental Health Day in tandem with the World Health Organization (WHO) calendar.  The 2022 (WHO) theme is “Making Mental Health and Well-being for all a Global Priority”.

The event will be marked by various health promotion activities on Friday October 7, 2022 in the Chancellors Court from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.

NOTICE TO ALL SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2022 GRADUATES

All Graduates of the 67th Congregation for the conferment of Degrees and award of Diplomas held on September 23, 2022 are requested to collect their certificates from the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus starting from Wednesday, October 5 2022 to Friday, November 11, 2022 in the following order:

1. WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 5, 2022 – FRIDAY OCTOBER 14, 2022

SCHOLARSHIPS AT UNIVERSITY OF LA VERNE IN CALIFORNIA - EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRADUATES AND POSTGRADUATES

This is to  inform you that applications are now open for the Exchange Programs to be held at University of La Verne, California for  UoN students.  

ULV provides a limited number of partial Scholarships, funding 70% of tuition fees where students are awarded based on merit and how early they apply.   

For 3 weeks, along with classes at the ULV campus, the students improve their English skills, learn from global companies on private business visits and gain experience to advance rapidly in their career.   

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GRADUATES OF THE 67TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

The University of Nairobi held its 67th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 23rd September. The colourful event was held at the historic Taifa Hall. The event was a mix of virtual and an onsite ceremony for the PhD students.

A total of 3,553 Graduands were conferred with degrees and diplomas and one Honoris Causa. 302 Diplomas, 2,508 Bachelors degrees, 62 Postgraduate Diplomas, 595 Masters degrees, 85 Doctor of Philosophy degrees and one Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) were awarded.

FRESHERS REPORT TO UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI

Registration of the First Year students for the 2022/2023 Academic year began on Monday 19th September 2022. The University has lined up a series of activities for the Orientation week to introduce the freshmen to University life.

The following is the Schedule of activities: 

Monday 19th to Sunday 25th September 2022: Biometric Registration and Orientation Week

Tuesday 20th September 2022: Students commence Course Registration for two weeks
