UoN AND DAMU-SASA PARTNER ON A PROJECT THAT SEEKS TO IMPROVE BLOOD MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN KENYA

The University of Nairobi was confirmed as the Public Research Organization for the Research and Development (R&D) Impact Project - a project conducted by the Damu-Sasa blood services management system - a cloud-based system that supports blood sourcing, inventory management, transfusion management, haemovigilance, referrals and deferrals. 

LAUNCH OF UON FOUNDATION - JUNE 30TH 2022

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the UoN Foundation to be held on Thursday,  30th June 2022 at the Chancellor’s Court from 5:30 pm. As a prelude to the launch, the UoN Foundation board of trustees will be hosting a dinner to raise the foundation’s seed capital at the Great Court on June 23, 2022.

DAAD SCHOLARSHIP FOR MASTERS - "LEADERSHIP FOR AFRICA IN EAST AFRICA"

The DAAD's (German Academic Exchange Service) regional office in Nairobi has announced a new call for the DAAD funded scholarship programme "Leadership for Africa in East Africa".

Leadership for Africa (LfA) offers scholarships for master's studies in Germany to qualified applicants in all fields EXCEPT medicine, public health, veterinary medicine, dentistry, law, the arts and architecture. Public health is open for application in the field of medical studies.

The deadline for application is 30th June 2022.

GANDHI SMARAK NIDHI FUND SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES

Following a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund held on Wednesday, 11th May 2022, the applicants whose names are listed in the link below, were awarded the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund Scholarship for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Letters of offer will be available for collection on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Academic Registrar's Office, 13th Floor, University of Nairobi Towers.

ACADEMIC DIVISION TAKES PART IN ANNUAL TREE PLANTING DAY

The Academic Division took part in the Annual Tree Planting Day which was held on Friday, May 13, 2022 where 7000 tree seedlings were planted. The event was held at the Upper Kabete Campus.

The organisations that joined the University of Nairobi tree planting event were Equity Group Foundation, Nairobi County Government, National Government, Shamba Café, Loresho Community and Association of Green champions.
