The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2020/2021) and members of the public, as follows:
All Graduates of the 65th Congregation for the conferment of Degrees and award of Diplomas held on September 24, 2021, are requested to collect their certificates from the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus starting from Monday, October 25, 2021, to Friday, December 3, 2021, as in the document attached.

The University of Nairobi Research Week 2021 themed “Rethinking Research, Innovation & Technology for sustainable development” is scheduled as follows:

4,205 students were awarded certificates at the University of Nairobi 65th graduation ceremony. 1 Higher Doctorate Degree was awarded to Prof. Fredrick Were. There were 79 PhD Degrees awarded, 378 Masters, 17 Postgraduate Diplomas, 3,459 Bachelors Degrees and 271 Diplomas. 36.7 % of the graduands were females while 63.3% were male. The Academic Division wishes to congratulate the Class of 2021 on their great achievement.
Prof. Fredrick Were was awarded the Higher Doctor of Science Degree today during the 65th graduation ceremony. He is the 7th recipient of a higher doctorate degree of the University of Nairobi. Prof. Were defended his Doctor of Science on Friday September, 17th. The title of is Doctor of Science thesis was “Impact of Health Systems Research on the Support for In-Patient Paediatric Services in Kenya’s Primary Referral Hospitals.”
