The Gandhi Smarak Nidhi fund (GSNF) will offer a limited number of partial scholarships tenable at the University of Nairobi, for Masters Programmes during the 2026/2027 academic year.

Interested candidates are invited to apply or re-apply for renewal for the GSNF scholarship. A non-refundable application fee of Kenya Shillings Two Thousand Only (KShs. 2,000.00) will be charged to be paid through the following Account.

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Nairobi for the Academic Year 2026/2027. The University of Nairobi has processed admission letters for all KUCCPS selected students admitted in the 2026 2027 AY.

Commencement date is 24th August 2026. An SMS has been sent to all students with registration numbers.

The University of Nairobi's 9th Vice-Chancellor Eng. Prof. Ayub Njoroge Gitau was officially installed on Friday, 17th July 2026, in a colourful ceremony held at the iconic Taifa Hall. The installation rite was carried out by the Chair of University Council, Prof. Chacha Nyaigoti- Chacha and witnessed by Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala. 

The University of Nairobi held a Council Induction Retreat from 24th to 26th June 2026 at Travelers’ Beach Hotel in Mombasa, for members of the University Council and Senior Management.
